How Can You Grow Cannabis? Step By Step Guide

Medical Marijuana Card

If you are looking for the basics of how to grow marijuana, then you are at the right place. Here, I will be discussing the basics to grow cannabis successfully.

Before moving further, I would suggest you get your Oklahoma medical marijuana card recommendation from a reputable clinic or doctor such as 420 Doctors Oklahoma. A medical recommendation will help you grow cannabis without any legal restrictions.

Now, let’s get into the details.

Here are some of the effective steps to grow cannabis at an affordable price and reap a healthy harvest.

Step 1: Analyse The Growing Environment

Before directly planting the seed, go through all the requirements. These are some of the basic things that can help you.

Find the Right Place To Grow

A very first requirement is selecting the right place for the plant. You can grow your plant outside as well as inside your home. I would recommend you to get a simple grow tent. They are very efficient and affordable. Further, it will act as a wind barrier.

You can also purchase a plastic tent from the market. These plastic tents come with all the required types of equipment. But are a little expensive. So, if your budget permits they are a great choice.

Sunlight Or Grow Light

Every plant requires some amount of light to grow properly. If you are growing your plants outside, ensure they receive ample sunlight. On the other hand, if you are growing indoors, invest in a good grow light.

Get an Exhaust  to Regulate the Growing Environment

Install an exhaust fan and activated carbon filter to reduce the heat and odor. I would suggest you a clip-on circulating fan to keep the air moving. Further, you can install a thermometer and hygrometer to keep a track of temperature and humidity.

Step 2: Plant Your Seeds

Get recommended cannabis seeds from the dispensary. After this, simply mix the soil and organic compost. Make sure that you allow the passage of air into the soil.  Further, purchase NPK nutrients to feed your plants.

After analyzing the growing environment, plant the seed in a mixture of soil and organic compost. Ensure that they receive proper sunlight. If you have a reflector, you can use it after your plant starts growing to ensure the plant receives proper sunlight. Set your light timer on for 18 hours per day and off for the next 6 hours.

Avoid overfeeding and over watering your plants. If you overfeed your plants, consequently, it will harm your plant. Further, provide enough amount of space for the seeds to grow.

Step 3 Increasing Your Yield

Once your plant starts growing, start pruning it. This step is very important to increase the yield. But remember not to prune your plant when it starts flowering. This will decrease your harvest.

Further, train your growing shoots to grow horizontally along the bottom to fill the screen space. Then, switch your timer to 12 hours when your plant starts flowering.

Step 4 Harvest, Drying, and Curing

Once your plants are matured, it's time to harvest them. Harvest when the gland heads of your plants become cloudy white. After cultivating your cannabis, hang your buds to dry. Your plants will take 3 to 4 days to dry completely. Next, cure your buds for optimum potency and flavor.

Bottom Line

Finally, your buds are ready for use. Now, that you know all the steps of growing marijuana. However, it's time to get your MMJ card and start growing marijuana.
